Boston is one of the oldest cities in the United States. It is the largest city in the New England region and the capital of Massachusetts.

Boston was the center of many historical events in the Revolutionary War like the Boston Massacre, Battle of Bunker Hill,  as well as the Boston Tea Party. Once the States gained their independence, Boston became a major shipping port and a center for higher education.

Boston is a major travel destination for many reasons such as history and their many firsts. Paul Revere's house, the Freedom Trail, and the first school in the United States, Boston Latin School, was opened in Boston.

It is also a hub of for higher education with many colleges such as Harvard, MIT, Boston College, Boston University, Emerson and Berklee.

Boston also has some of the most famous sports teams including the Red Sox, the Patriots, Celtics and the Bruins. These teams serve as representatives for the New England area as a whole.
